The Lake Country SDO Blue Heavy Polishing Pad – 1.5" 6-Pack is a compact foam polishing pad designed for tight-area correction with mini polishers and DA polishers. Its small size is ideal for consoles, transoms, corners, hard-to-reach spots, around hardware, and small gelcoat sections where a larger pad is too difficult to control. There is no hole in the center of the 1.5” pads.
At Lilly Marine, we recommend pairing this pad with Revival Polish & Protect for controlled polishing and protection in smaller areas. The blue SDO foam gives more polishing bite than a soft finishing pad while still finishing cleaner than aggressive wool. It is a good choice for light oxidation, haze, swirl marks, and gloss improvement on gelcoat and fiberglass.
Lake Country’s SDO pads are built as a single-layer version of their engineered orbital foam pads, with a center-ventilated design to help release heat and a tapered edge to help prevent pad rolling on curves and contours. Lake Country lists the SDO line for forced DA, mini polisher, and random orbital DA use.
